Relax, sit back and welcome to my Image Lounge.  Where we live in Northern Brazil there is a  wonderful diversity of life, both of the human kind and of the natural world.  Through my Image Lounge I hope to be able to share the delights with you through the lens of my camera.  I have worked as a Professional Photographer for over 35 years.  My work gave me the great privilage of travel to some remote places and some wonderful memories.

My skills will hopefully embark you on a journey to a place you have never been and show you sites you will probably have not seen before.  There will be endless beaches, fabulous sunsets, exotic wildlife and birds, exciting watersports and all the old traditions the local Brazilians still live with today.

I have chosen the image above to Front Page the Lounge as it is a most relaxing picture of a horse quietly grazing in a blazing sunset on our land.  This black & white rendition of the original image really does the light justice.

Over the next couple of weeks I will be adding from my back catalogue of images to start the Image Lounge off in the way it will continue.  I will not be uploading daily, but will upload two or three times a week or when something special catches my camera eye.

All the wildlife shots will be taken in our garden unless otherwise stated.  The surfing & kitesurfing will be from Taiba beaches and our famous lagoon.  The people and thier lives will all be very local to us here.  I hope you enjoy the experience.

07-09-2011:  Well I have started the Wildlife Lounge of with a couple of images of two types of tree snake that are almost daily visitors to the garden.   Spotting them is not as difficult as it was in the begining.  Your eyes become tuned to seeing what is not the norm in the branches of trees and shrubs.  Enjoy the images and I will continue to write about more of the Wildlife in our garden.

15-09-2011:   The Kite Surfing & Surfing lounge is now underway with a few shots taken over the last couple of years on our local beaches and lagoons.  Most of the shots will be of pro athletes as they use our waters to train on.  Some are Brazilian, including the reigning champion and some are of international pros.  I have tried to capture the excitement of the sports and the stresses and strains the athletes put themselves through.  Both sports are classed as ‘adrenalin’ sports, my favourite still being surfing though!
